SESSION NOW OPEN TO 12 (TBC) PER CLASS!
The new Windrush Pilates session for core conditioning over the winter months.
Pilates is a strength and conditioning approach that helps to improve core strength, flexibility and contributes to prevention of injuries as well as improving performance.
The classes are designed to target areas that are notoriously weak in runners \ cyclists and swimmers.
Instruction will be provided by Nichola Roberts in Studio One at the back of Brockwell Lido Gym. She is a qualified pilates instructor, having trained with the Australian pilates institute. She is also a chartered physiotherapist with a specialist interest in cycling and triathlon.
The cost will be £5 as usual, payable to Nichola.

"I will be running these sessions in order to make you stronger, more efficient and less prone to injury. As Triathletes the area that so often gets neglected is maintaining flexibility and core strength. Without this overuse injuries creep in due to muscle imbalance and poor biomechanics. Take a leaf out of Bradley Wiggins book and spend the autumn and winter attending strength sessions to ensure you race stronger and longer next season."
Pilates requires concentration & control of body posture so instruction is closely supervised.

For the class you will need comfortable clothes that you would normally do yoga - You will not need trainers.Please also bring a towel.
