Hi Jon,

I hope you can make the session and enjoy it!  As the lido is relatively warm at the moment, you can swim without a wetsuit.  Most wear them to get used to swimming in them, but quite a few don't as well.  Its personal preference as to how you can stand the water.  We are not all really fast, a few are, but most are not super speedy!  As long as you can swim 100m front crawl continuously you will be fine.

Never been to a club session before, I'm hopefully (work permitting) using this as my trial session. Do most people wear wetsuits to this? Not swam for about 6 months, so hoping you're not all really really fast!

Hi Anna,

It costs £30 per year to join the club.  The only way to do this is online by hovering over the members tab and then clicking on the join up tab.  Then there is a link to pay via PayPal.  Sessions are usually £5 each and you pay the coach on the pool-side.  If you are unsure about joining up you can have one session for free to see if you like us!

I haven't been asked to pay for anything yet - I just signed up online.  If I come along on Thursday can I sort out membership then?  How much is it per month or year?

Hi Anna - welcome to Windrush!  Our membership secretary Liz will be informed of your PalPal transaction and will get a membership card posted out to you in the next week.  Until then just show your PayPal receipt as proof.

I will be bringing more of the new swimming caps to this session. £4.  Please arrive ready to go at 7pm as usual.
