6th - 9th July - Adventure Weekend in Wales anyone?

A bunch of us are planning to head to The Brecon Beacons in South Wales the weekend of 6-9 July to have a cheap but very cheerful weekend. The idea is to do some hiking, some wild swimming, cycling, BBQ'ing, drinking and generally having fun in the country. I am looking at different cost effective self catering accommodation options at the moment, bunkhouses and large farm cottages. So far 7 people are interested. If anyone else is up for this let me know asap so I can look to book up some accommodation.

Morning all!! Ok looks like we have about 13 - We have had one drop out, The bunkhouse I wanted originally has been taken over by a National Trust Volunteer group, so looking into other options now. It may well be a large cottage or farmhouse. Leave it with me :)

I might be up for this. I need to check race plan, diary etc. I'll be back in the UK in the next couple of days. Can I confirm then?

Can you please confirm that the plans are to go on Friday and come back on Monday - so take 2 days off work?

Nice one Frank, yes can wait, am waiting to hear back from a few places for that weekend...looks like it might be a cottage now. Will have a couple of options cast in stone later in the week :)

PS Yes would be from Friday afternoon till Monday morning, some might want to go back early or arrive on the Sat morning, lets play by ear.

Ok people for the 12 that have said they are up for this - There are no bunkhouses available now but I am looking into cottages. This one is absolutely fabulous but comes in at £100 each for 3 nights.

Bummer that one before only available for a a whole weeks hire this time of year - found another good one. Will keep looking today but will look to book something up asap.

Ok guys - all booked up with second one I mentioned. Was £888 in total. Have paid a deposit of £299 and will have to pay balance in 4 weeks.
