Barcelona Triathlon - accommodation ideas needed

Hi guys, I'm doing Barcelona tri in October and wondered if anyone has done it before and has any suggestions for cheap and chearful accommodation (hostels, cheap-ish hotels, self catering apartments - all considered!) that's not too far away from the race location.

Also, anyone else doing it this year?

I did it in 2010 - its really fun once you're out of the water - make sure you put suncreen on though as the sun will come out and burn you.

We stayed around the St Jaume area as its not to difficult to get to from the airport, its pretty central, and its good for race-day too.

I've used www.hostelbookers.com for hostels and cheap hotels before - stayed at Feetup in Barcelona. It's lovely but way out of the centre and probably not good for race day.
