Hi everyone,

I'm planning on selling a bike and was just wondering if anyone had any advice on the best way to go about it.

Thanks,

Julia

Good photographs of all the key areas (cockpit, drive-chain, front dérailleur, rear dérailleur & cassette), with a detailed description of any nicks or scratches etc and the condition of all the moving parts, and if you can, a spec list of all the equipment that's on it. So a breakdown of components basically.

Where are you thinking of selling it?

Thanks Lee, that's very helpful.

I have no idea where the best place to sell it is - any suggestions?

I guess we are talking about your Specialized Transition?? :*(

Its really is a machine for specialised triathletes only and at your size will be even harder to find a match.

I'd hit all the triathlon forums I could find

Also try member clubs with more money than sense...

I think Stu trains a few female age groupers these days.. they might in the market for a race level machine, ping him a message.

Nooooo - you're selling the Specialized???  I hope you're not going easy on racing!  Stu still thinks you're our club superstar for the future!

Ok thanks very much Paul.

Yeah I'm thinking about selling it and getting a road bike. Just because I'm not really good enough for it and always feel a bit embarrassed to turn up to stuff with a great bike but then am really slow!

hey julia - what kind of bike is it?

Cheers
Teresa

Hi Teresa,

It's this one: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/specialized/transition-comp-201...
With slightly different handlebars.
