Could you be the next editor of the Windrush Newsletter?

Hi everyone,

We are looking for a new Editor for the Windrush Newsletter and Newsflashes. The Newsletter goes out once a month and has a round-up of the latest news, reminders and trianing tips (often from contributors like coach Jon Hotchkiss). Newsflashes go out as and when there is something important to let you guys know about that hasn't made it into the Newsletter.


What it involves:

The Editor usually comes up with a list of topics to feature each month and checks it with the committee and then produces the newsletter, emailing it out to our members. If you're interested in getting involved you'd need to have basic HTML skills so you can create HTML emails (although templates are set-up) and basic image editing skills too (so you can re-size and crop images). Newsflashes are often asked for by other committee members. The updated mailing list will be provided by the Membership Secretary (me at the moment).


Time committment:

The Newsletter is probably about 4-7 hours of time per month (depending on what's going on), and that includes gathering content, formatting it, writing it and getting it out. You would also need to attend the committee meetings. Newsflashes are usually much quicker and can take less than an hour to create and send out.
