As discussed in a previous thread, this weeks ride will be a more challenging one: http://www.windrushtri.co.uk/forum/topics/january-bike-rides

Leaving the lido at 9am, we'll head out into Kent on some of the roads you may be familiar with if you've done the 60km loop or 115km loop before, however we'll be going my 'special' way round, where we get to tackle a few decent Hills.

I will draw up the route and post it tomorrow, but it is likely to be in the region of 120km. It shouldn't really take longer than 4.5 hours as the intention is push on a little bit, and to not stop unless we are re-grouping or there is a mechanical.

Not to put anyone off, however its worth noting that if you've not been out with us before, or view yourself as anything less than a 'good' cyclist, then this may prove challenging.

Usual kit required - adequate clothing, food, water, tubes/pump/tools/tyre levers etc. Also please make sure you are familiar with our club guidlines with regards to Sunday rides: WindrushTriathlonClubledridesguidance.doc

If you have any questions please let me know.

Will there be a coffee stop...?
There's a lovely national trust cafe near Hever...

Thought you were getting a tea-camel back?!

with brandy in it...

Rum would be the beverage of choice :)

Do you think I am good enough?

You three are all barred from coming on my rides...

What did I do wrong....how rude ;-P

it'll be a lonely ride then....

Who are you going to sit with in the coffee shop then Lee??

I wont even be entering the coffee shop. And nor will you with your Rum/Tea based concoction.

I'll see you all at the lido at 9...

Here is the route: http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/65026704/

I will have a copy on my telephone for guidance, but if others can that would be grand.
