Hi guys,

For those who are doing this on Sunday, are you planning on cycling there - adding 27km each way to the 110km race - or will you drive or get ther by train?

Cheers

Myself and Charles will drive there as we are 'supposed' to do a short run afterwards, and I don't fancy adding on another 54km to the route myself!!!  I don't know about the parking situation though.

Hi Frank - I had the exact same thoughts.  I have done the route before with cycling there and back and it's a long old day in the saddle so I might fish around for a kind lift with someone.  I wouldnt normally worry about a 150km ride but the sportive route has about twice as much climbing as your typical 100km ride and its pretty tough going.  Im due to roll out at 08.30 though so if I do ride down, it would be good to have some company.

' I wouldn't normally worry about a 150km ride'...Oli you are so hardcore!  Will be good to see you :-)

Not if you'd seen me the last time I did this - it wasn't pretty at all.  Im glad the windrushers are all leaving at the same time so we can spur each other on.  I might suggest a hot dog stop at the top of Ashdown Forest though....

If anyone's around to give a lift for this - it would be most appreciated. Please message me on the site.  Otherwise, ill see everyone at the start.  Is there a start time list somewhere?

I've just looked at trains and it seems they do not start early enough to get there for the start time of 8.30.  I'm going to try and get a lift too, if not I'll be joining the convoy and adding the 27k.  I reckon that makes us hardcore before we start!

Nic

I'm due to start at 8:40, with no transport plan yet, so looks like cycling there is the option...

If we can work out some way to attach two more bikes to the outside of my car... that is rack for the back then we can provide a lift for two people.

And if I can get the roof rack on my mid-life-crisis-mobile I'll be able to give you a lift Oli

Can you email me your mobile number?

2000m of climbing - we must be crazy :-)

Cheers Tony - thanks a lot.  Are you still round the corner?  I'll email you

Frank and Nic - We may have the option to take you now...

That would be great if you could Laura. Still in Sweden, but back in London tomorrow.

I also need to give you your tickets for the swimming trials next week, don't forget

Cheers
