Hi all,
Are others entering this? If so, is it possible to do something to get windrushers into the same wave?
Ta,
Luke

Permalink Reply by GusM on November 17, 2011 at 9:34 I think it is a great idea, Len... It is a nice course, flat and loads of support, and you will have plenty of time to train - I really enjoyed it this year, and it was also my first olympic.
Permalink Reply by Frank Fonton on November 17, 2011 at 10:59 My first ever race was an Olympic at London tri.... Loved it and never looked back. Great support along the way and you can enjoy the post race celebration in one of the bars at the end. Go for it Len
Permalink Reply by Lenski on November 18, 2011 at 6:39 The mixed open group for the London Tri - seems to be closed. However, from the FAQ on the site
How do I compete with friends / family?
If you are looking to compete in the race then we advise that you all enter at the same time. Once entered email in to info@thelondontriathlon.com providing everyone's names and email addresses and that you would like to race together.
So if we can get our act together early doors this still may be possible. If we are interested in doing this let me know and I'll send in the email.

I have entered, please put me down on the email list to try get in the same wave :-)
Permalink Reply by Siobhan Gee on February 20, 2012 at 16:24 I'm also doing this - just seen the post, sorry for the delayed response!
Permalink Reply by Lenski on February 20, 2012 at 16:48 Hi Siobhan,
Which category did you enter?
I tried to get us all in the same but Virgin wouldn't play ball, despite what they say on thier website. I have manage to get the
- males entered in the Male Open Cat into the same wave
- males entered in the Male Age-Group Cat (if in the same age group) in the same wave
- females in the same wave
Not sure if that's good or bad, but that's what we have.

Got in through the ballot.
Open catergory, wave code "windrush".
After 6 weeks working the Olympics, am sure I will be in absolutely no state to do this but should be good banter either way!
Permalink Reply by Siobhan Gee on February 20, 2012 at 17:00 Hi Len,
I'm in the female age group - that was the only one that was available when I entered - I did the mixed wave two years ago but that didn't even seem to exist this time!
I did put Windrush down as my club but not as a code word...
Permalink Reply by Lenski on February 20, 2012 at 22:20 Might be an idea if you send an email to info@thelondontriathlon.com to confirm that you'd like to be in the same wave as our other females - Helen and Sara.
Permalink Reply by Frank Fonton on February 20, 2012 at 23:40 A good way to celebrate hey!
