The 21st July sees a new half Ironman(+) distance race being added to the race calendar.

It's very unique in that it is a point-to-point race (yes, you will need 3 transition boxes!) and involves a Solent swim... It is a race from the Isle of White to a prestigious London Club - called Home House. The race will see a 2 mile sea swim (with fully-experienced Solent-crossing kayak support), a 90 mile cycle and a 1/2 marathon run. This is all topped off by a Charity gala ball at Home House...when the clock strikes twelve, those triathletes still dancing will have officially finished the race!

This is the race's first year, so the numbers are being kept very small. Also, we are hoping that given it's a charitable endeavour that this charitable spirit will filter through to the competitors as well (ie. although there will be good support (and GPS competitor tracking!) covering the entire route, you would help out a fellow competitor in trouble).

For more info, please see the race website: http://www.racetomidnight.co.uk/

For those of you who are not keen on the distances....why not grab a ball ticket to welcome your Windrush heroes home and raise some money for charity?!

Wow - looks amazing Anna!  I would love to but I already have my 70.3's entered since Jan and will be in Calgary at the time of your race.  I hope it is a real success and that I can enter next year!

P.S. That is a great pic of Jack's!!!

Thanks Laura,

It is going to be a lot of fun! I know a lot of people already have their races planned, but if anyone fancies some training for an Ironman, it will be perfect distances...or just a challenge - you can take it as seriously or not, just as long as you can cover the distance (and be at the bar by midnight ;) !!).

I'll see if we can reserve you a place for next year!

Hi Anna,

This looks amazing!

Can you enter as a team?

That looks awesome!

Hi Liz,

Yes you can enter as a team. The individual price is going to be around £200 (£100 for the race and £100 for the ball). The relay team price would be £150 each (£100 for the ball and £50 for the race - the extra takes account of the extra admin and ferrying people around from a relay team). It's all being done at cost, as it's for charity and most of the charity fundraising will happen at the ball on the evening.

Let me know if you're keen to enter a team!

Anna

Thanks, James.

Are you keen to enter?!

Anna
