Nominate a Charity for Windrush
It was raised at the AGM that Windrush should sponsor a Charity.
The Committee has decided this is a good idea and we are looking for a Charity to sponsor in 2012.
Ideally it should be a local charity with a sporting dimension, for example, sport for disabled athletes or assisting disadvantaged children in sport.
The objective is that any events held by Windrush would donate a proportion of the proceeds to the Charity. Also, Members would be encouraged to support the chosen Charity in their fund raising activities.

Kids City and the Walcot Foundation both do excellent work locally.

To help with decisions here is a list of charities in
Southwark http://www.ilondon.co.uk/local/charities-and-voluntary-organisation... You can refine the search to a more local area such as Dulwich but it limits choice.
& Lambeth does not have a similar list that I could find but I second Luke on the Walcot foundation http://www.walcotfoundation.org.uk/
I am sure we could speak with them and find a project to endorse.
