I know it might be a bit depressing to start thinking about autumn leaves but entries for this year's October sportive organised by local cycling club Dulwich Paragon are now open at

http://www.riderhq.com/events/rotfl2012

There is a shorter 80k route and a longer 110k one. Both well signed, interesting and going through some beautiful countryside. It's only £20 to enter and the money they raise goes to The Lavender Trust. Hopefully we'll have a Windrush mini-peloton again this year

Sounds great Tony. I signed up for the 9:30 start but can change it. We should all sign up for the same time.

Rob

I've signed up to the 09.10 start, not done one of these before but really looking forward to it

The start times are only a guide so that 500 cyclists don't launch themselves into Burbage Road simultaneously.

I'd does sell t though and when I looked last night they were nearly at 300 so get your entry in soon if you don't want to miss out

Tomy

Would have liked to join in but I'm doing the Royal Parks half marathon that day. Maybe next year...

I'm in. Signed for a 9:30 start

Frank

I'm in; 8am start.

So checking the start times we are spread out from 8 til 9.30.

In the past they haven't been too worried if you start at a different time from stated but just wanting to avoid 600 cyclists tipping out into Burbage Road at the same time.

How about we aim for an earlier start - that way we can get out into the countryside before the Sunday morning traffic builds up. Was thinking maybe trying to start with Edward at around 8?

What do others think - Frank I'm guessing you will want a lie in ;-)

8am is good for me! See you all then.

Rob if you are going to spin could you let Rachel know - she is doing it and was asking what our plans were

I'm an idiot. I actually signed up for a 9am start, and looking at the website I think 8.30am is the earliest start time they allow.

Can I suggest we go with 9am instead?

And apologies for causing this confusion.

How about 8.30 which would mean getting there for 8.15 to sign in and get organised?

Hope they still start it with a lap of the velodrome - that's pretty cool. If we start a bit earlier it's easier getting uut of town

What do others think?
By the way looks like entries are open again plus the forecast is now for dry weather (hope that doesnt jinx it)
