Morning!

As some of you may have noticed, its got a bit chilly over the past few days. With the weather expected to continue, and potentially deteriorate, its worth bringing this up for the weekend.

If there is snow and ice on the ground over the weekend, this weeks ride will be cancelled. Its a tough call because I am a big kid and love the snow, but we've got to think safety first here. There is no point in risking injury, illness or crashes for a couple of hours riding in the cold. I want to get out as much as anyone, but we're not going to unnecessarily risk it.

No 1988 Giro d'Italia Andy Hampsten style conditions for us!

We might not get to know what the weather is doing until Sunday morning, so feel free to 'friend'/PM me with your number and I'll text you Sunday morning, or I'll send you my number so you can check if we'll be going out.

If the ground conditions are suitable, it is still likely to be very cold - so please make sure you wrap up warm! (Ski Goggles are optional.)

Current forecast:

I cycled today into town and it was very cold indeed. Getting to Biggin hill is likely to be a very different experience...

Keep us posted on the site...

Cheers

Frank

Looks like we're off chaps and chap-esses.

Hi Lee,

Just wondered what the plan is for the ride this Sunday? Will it be the longer Hever route or are you planning to do the Biggin Hill one that had to be cancelled?

Hopefully it'll be milder this weekend!

Still planning the longer 110km route as posted here: http://www.windrushtri.co.uk/forum/topics/february-club-rides

Its not ideal that we've lost a ride, but when its lighter and the weather is better we hope to introduce a mid-week chaingang.

Thanks Lee

Im not sure if Im around that long on Sunday, but I'll have a look at the route and see if there's a way I could perhaps leave you at some point and head back
