This week we'll be heading over to Richmond Park for some laps.

We'll be leaving the lido at 9am, and plan to be in the park for about 9:40, so can pick up any extras from the cafe. Feel free to to as many or as few laps as you wish, at whatever pace that you wish. Meeting back at the cafe at 11:20 to re-group, and then come back to the lido.

If anyone needs practice riding in a group, or isn't too confident in their bike handling skills let me know and we can work something out.

As usual, bring a pump, spare tube, tyre levers, multi-tool, appropriate clothing, money, phone and some ID, as well as fluids and make sure you have enough FOOD to fuel your rides. Seen too many people bonk lately (4 in my last two rides).

Tony and I are working on a schedule to give you an idea of what to expect a couple of weeks ahead of schedule so you can plan your training accordingly.

Any questions, please holla.

I'm in...

I'll be at the cafe for 09:30.

Just in case we attract the wrong sort of customers wearing dirty macs or members of the Krankies - in this context "bonk" means to run out of energy.

Tony

A worthwhile mention...

Hi, im new to the site and your club, i was wondering if i could tag along tomorrow? i also i have little experience in riding in a group

For sure. Meet at the lido entrance ready to go for 9:00 with everything mentioned above. We'll make sure you're ok.

Thank you very much, ill look forward to it.

Lee when you say appropriate clothing do you mean race shorts top etc or something comfortable?

Hi Roland, we mean more like clothes that will keep you warm and dry as well. You won't be warm enough in just shorts I don't think, plenty of layers on the top are a good idea and if it looks like rain, bring a waterproof just in case that you can carry in a back pocket or on your bike. Gloves are pretty essential too. And always have a helmet! See you tomorrow.

I will meet  you at the cafe at Richmond Park
