This is a re-post from April.

To give you an opportunity to take part in an off-road ride along the South Downs Way on 18/19 August.

The ride is one of my favourites. Its beautiful countryside and some challenging hills. We will start in Eastbourne and cycle west to Winchester.  That gets the toughest parts done on day 1. The total ride is 100miles in 2 days and we stop overnight in a B&B in Amberley.  You will need an off road bike and travel very light. Water is not a problem as there are taps along the route but not much food so we will have to take snacks and lunch with us.

I am planning that we get an early train from Clapham Junction on Saturday morning and start riding by 0815.

18/19 August is the proposed date.  I know it is 1 week before the Club Relays but I am also trying to avoid club tri events, the trip to Wales and the Olympics.

You should budget £40 for B&B and £50 for trains plus food.

Let me know if you are interested. We have some takers already.
