Hi Can anyone give me an idea of the pace of the slower lanes in the Leander swim sessions? I'm a veteran of many Swim-for-tri coached sessions so not concerned about swimming for an hour but I'm a bit worried that my rather plodding pace (~8.30 for 400m) will mean I'm well off the pace of the slowest lane which can be a bit demoralising. Anyone got any pace related insight? Thanks Chris

Hi Christine,

I think you'll be fine. Their title 'Masters' swim is a bit misleading as the session is open to all just as long as you can swim 400M continuous freestyle \ front crawl.

Cheers,

Len

I used to go to their Tuesday Masters session and I swim 400m in around 10/11mins. I was usually the slowest in the slow lane and sometimes skipped a couple of lengths at the end of a set but it was a good session. With 400m in 8.30 you should be fine.

Hi both, thanks for the responses. Ended up doing the ride this morning instead but it's good to know that swimming is an option when it gets icy out there.
