Dear All,
We have decided for 2013 to go with an all-inclusive camp in Mallorca run by tricamp.co.uk. This camp comes highly recommended and offers wonderful training and relaxing opportunities for us. Don't worry if you think you aren't fit enough as there will be sessions for various levels and different lengths of bike ride etc from beginner to Ironman. Roomshares are just twin rooms so no big dorms!
The camp will be from Tuesday 2- Tuesday 9th April 2013. You will need to book your own flights to Palma, but everything else is included in the £595 price.
The camp caters for 14. Please post below if you are CERTAIN you want to come and I will pass your name onto Nick. He will then be in touch so you can pay the £145 deposit in the next couple of weeks. Please post by FRIDAY 5th OCTOBER to secure you place.
More details from Nick the manager and head coach are below and can also be found on tricamp.co.uk
We offer a complete package of coaching over all 3 sports, guided rides with small groups using 2/3 coaches, all food and accommodation as well as airport transfers. So all you have to do really is sort your flight out and decide if you want to bring your own bike or hire in Mallorca (I can help with hiring if you wish).
Once you arrive its train, eat, sleep and chill out.
Train:
As I mentioned above we cover all 3 sports and transitions. We do open water and pool based swimming and video analysis, running drills and technique, bike handling and lots of ascents and descents! The running terrain is mixed and will cover sand, forest, trial runs and gravel paths so plenty to choose from. All training is optional so you can join in as and when you like. If guests want to do more we also can help you with this.
We have a backup support vehicle for any problems on the road and doubles up bringing us lunch on several longer rides.
Eat:
Our professional chef (Lou) joined us last year and is pretty good at cooking food for athletes! All the guests raved about her last year so we had to have her back for 2013. The food is all home cooked and locally sourced. We cater for all nutritional requirements and provide big portions as from personal experience I know how important it is to be well fuelled.
Sleep:
The Accommodation is located in Northern Mallorca in the town of Pollensa. With both the sea and mountains on our doorstep it's an ideal base to train from. We are not out in the sticks but are based in the heart of the town, so if you fancy looking round the town's market/shops or sitting in the square having a coffee it's all just a two minute walk away.
Chill out:
The house has plenty of space to chill out in or as mentioned above you can head into town or the beach. We have a plunge pool which is great for leg recovery after long rides as well as a TV den room and lots of sofa space to relax and let the recovery process take place! It's not all just about the training, we feel it's important to get the right balance so you get stronger through the week, learn new skills and by the last day leave fit and healthy - ready to take on your goals when you get home.
The website shows pictures of the last few years of the camps and has information that maybe usual to you. Www.tricamp.co.uk
